This hand-woven, fair trade, silk scarf or shawl is produced by a women's co-operative in Thailand.  This luxurious scarf is extremely soft and the tie-dye is fabulous.  It's large enough to wrap around your shoulders in the evening.  Wear it with your sundresses or simple white t-shirt and jeans.  

Due to the hand-made nature of our scarfs, each scarf is a unique, one of a kind creation in color and design. We often have only one or two of the same color or pattern. Slight imperfections of the weave are characteristic of raw silk hand-woven scarves and add to the beauty and uniqueness of the scarves, and differentiate it from a machine made scarves.

The village co-operative undertakes the entire production process; they feed the silk worms with mulberry leaves; collect the cocoons; unravel the silk thread; hand-dye the silk; create the designs and hand weave the textiles.
